No Globe Signal

I’m so annoyed because it’s been 48 hours since my Globe sim card has no signal. The last message I received was on Sunday around 8:24 AM from Globe’s 2978. I was about to text someone but I couldn’t get a signal. I even went outside of the house just to detect some signal. But all I am seeing is No Access.

I tried refreshing my phone by removing the battery and the sim card, hoping that it would solve the problem but it did not. I also tried inserting my sim card to my sister’s phone but there’s still no signal. Her Smart sim card is working perfectly in my phone.

I tried calling Globe CSR but they are clueless. They said my number is active and that there is no Globe activity or system enhancements in the area that could have caused the problem. They apologized a couple of times I should have counted it! They said I have to wait for few hours or days till I get a signal, because as of now they don’t know yet what happened. I even went to Globe Business Center hoping they would check my sim card, but they did not! All they could tell me is to wait for few days din. Ilang days ba ako dapat maghintay? 2 days? 20 days? My gosh!

Huwag naman sanang sira ang sim ko. Naku ha, I don’t want to buy a new sim! This has been my number since March 2001,  although the sim card is 3 or 4 years old. I didn’t do anything para masira itong sim na ito so I don’t deserve this! So Globe, umayos kayo ha! Nakaka-frustrate na kapag tumitingin ako sa phone ko eh laging No Access nakikita ko. I hope that Globe will do something to fix this problem. It’s so irritating! Grrrr!

    I also had the same problem with you, I am located here in Mindanao. I also called their CSR, sabi nila meron daw sim upgrade sa Manila but as I have read ur blogs, wla dn pla jan. I have to wait daw for 3-5 working days until they resolve the matter. I am planning to go to Cagayan de Oro City coz that’s the next nearest Globe Center here in Iligan City to check if meron b clang sim upgrade. I am very disappointed sa Globe coz the number has been with me for five years now. I have been waiting pa nmn for response sa mga inapplyan ko, and this is the number I have forwarded to them. Two of my friends have also experienced this case, no signal ang sim nla

  2. Same problem here, it occured again for the 5th time! I’ve tried using a different phone, go to different locations (QC to Makati), I’ve been using my number since 1997 and its also a prepaid. I suspect that the old prepaid numbers are registered to an old globe database server which has a poor performance or worst case.. the server was decommissioned without re-registering old numbers to the system.

    • Mas matagal pa pala ang sim mo. Ako nawalan na ng pag-asa kaya ang ending pinabayaan ko na lang at nag Smart na lang ako. Wala na rin kasi akong magagawa kung ang Globe mismo walang paki-alam sa nangyari sa mga sim natin.

  3. wow marami rin pala nakaexperience neto ako din nangyari din sa akin to kagabi lang. bigla na lang nawalan ng signal. kakaload ko lang ng 300. sabi dun sa CSR nila wait daw ako within 24 hours. ayoko naman sana magpalit ng number ang tagal ng number ko na to eh. ibalik nila yung load ko pag ganun. tapos ung GCASH ko may laman pa yun sayang naman. sana naman maayos pa. hay..

    • Sayang naman yung load mo, sana maayos pa pati yung sa GCASH mo. Baka naman ngayon marami na silang available na sim para sa upgrade para lahat ng old numbers ma-upgrade nila. Yung sa hubby ko mag 8 years na rin yung number so sinabihan ko ng magpa upgrade bago pa mawalan ng signal. Kaso, pag punta namin sa SM Manila, wala pa ring sim. 🙁

  4. Ganun na rin dito sa Project 4, Quezon City palagi na lang walang network coverage.. I’m thinking of switching to SMART na lang muna siguro. Kesa naman sa ganitong gumagastos ka sa wala ka namang nakukuhang serbisyo…

  5. aug 6, 2009 ng gabi nawala ng signal yung prepaid sim card ko na globe ang akala ko nag down ang system ng globe o may pinasabog nanaman ng cell site, aug 7, 2009, yun pala sim card ko lang pala ang may problema, nalaman ko nung nag pasok ako ng smart at sun sim card on the same phone, on that day nag punta ako sa hub center ng globe ang sabi na gagasgas daw yung sim card kaya nawalan na daw ng signal at advice pa bumili na daw ako sa counter nila ng bagong sim card, yun ganun lang sila kadali mag bigay ng sulusyon miske alam nila na loyal subscriber ang kausap nila, wala silang concern, madami na palag na ka experience nito pwede kayang i reklamo sa NTC ito, pero di ba sabi nila ang NTC ay may share sa mga kalokohan ng mga telecom company, papansinin kaya kapag nireklamo ito, san kaya dapat mag sumbong, hay ang hirap sa pilipinas wala ka ng matakbuhan, wala ka ng masumbungan, di na kase sila ka panipaniwala, sana may mka basa pa nito kase ang tagal na ng last reply kay amor.

    • Sorry to hear that Ron. Di ko alam kung may solusyon pa sa problemang yan ng Globe dahil mukhang wala nman silang ginagawa, kaya lagi nilang sinasabi bili na lang ng bagong sim. Yung sa hubby ko nga more than 5 years na Globe sim nya kaya sabi ko one of these days baka masira na rin yun. Kaya pumunta kami sa Globe para magpa upgrade sana. Pero as usual wala silang available na sim pang upgrade. Well, ano pa nga ba aasahan ko sa Globe?

  6. haaaaay!!!! How frustrating! Kakaload ko lang ng 300pesos na card the other night… tapos nakapag-text pa ako using the free minutes… tapos I slept. When I woke up, ayaw na gumana ang phone ko… nagpanic ako kse iphone clone gamit ko.. coz baka yung phone ang sira. I had the bright idea to remove the SIM and put it in another phone… well, after the third phone, confirmed. ALL PHONES are working. It's just my 32K prepaid SIM that's not working. Nagha-hang ang lahat ng phones kapag isinalpak yung Globe SIM ko. I have yet to visit Globe Business Center in SM Southmall Las Piñas. The iphone clone is now using Sun Cellular SIM, and it works just fine. Lecheng Globe! Ayoko magpalit ng number!

  7. Signal here on Montalban, Rizal sucks too for globe.. Like I'm just beside my window and I'm standing and looking for a Hot spot just to have a Signal. I'm near the center of the montalban in San Jose.. sigh…

Same situation here.. my globe pre-paid sim is almost 5 years.. then suddenly it got no signal,.. i tried to call CS they said that i should wait 1 week.. but until now it has no signal.. sabi sa globe business center na pinuntahan ko.. hanapin ko daw ung series ng sim card ko sa ibang business center… ok lang ba sila? ang dami business center sa pilipinas..
    pag pre-paid malamang s.o.p na lang sa knila e2 na ganun sabihin.. pra mwalan ng pag-asa ung pre-paid user… para bumile na lang ng bago ganun assestment ko dito..
