SMB – Style Mong Bulok

Few months ago, while we were in SM Manila near the Supermarket, a restless man aproached me and asked for some help, he said that his daughter needs an expensive medicine for her illness – which I couldn’t remember. The man said he bought some medicine but his money is not enough to buy for a week’s supply. He even showed me the medicine that he bought, the receipt that shows how expensive it is, along with the prescription which I didn’t bother to look at.

So maawain that I am, I quickly gave him P20 pesos lang naman, if I remember it right, yun lang ang afford eh! hehe! 😀 I even told him na humingi sya ng tulong sa GMA kapuso Foundation o sa Channel 2. He just nod.

Then to my surprise, I saw him again last week in SM Manila, this time near the Lotto outlet. He’s wearing almost the same outfit, t-shirt, short, slipper, and he’s holding a small plastic bag with a medicine and a receipt. He approached me again and said the same thing. I told him “ay nakita ko na rin kayo dito dati, nagbigay na po ako sa inyo, maliit nga lang.” He replied “huh? ngayon lang ako pumunta rito eh!” Ganun? Sus, eh saan ko sya nakita? Sa panaginip?

I am very sure it was him. I admit I am forgetful in other things pero sa tao, madali akong maka-alala, ng mukha, ng hitsura. Meron kaya akong photographic memory! I am willing to help him and give him another 20 pesos (yun lang ang kaya eh!), if he was honest enough! But, my gulay, ako pa pinalabas na sinungaling! So I realized, modus operandi nya lang ba ito? para makahingi ng tulong ‘kuno’? para manloko. Hay naku, style nyang bulok!

I insisted that I already saw him in SM Manila at hindi ako pwedeng magkamali dun. Ayun, hindi na lang sya nagsalita, naghanap na lang ng bagong mabibiktima.
