I’m done with my upgrade to WordPress 2.6 “Tyner”.
I love the new features post revisions, which allows comparisons of current and older versions of content; revamped image control; word count; plugin update notification bubble and theme previewer. I love the Theme Previewer the most because as the name implies, it allows you to preview what your site will look with a new theme without pushing it live.
My customized login screen for WordPress 2.5 (in login.css and color-fresh.css) were overwritten after the upgrade to Tyner so I had to copy-paste some of the codes again. Here’s my customized login screen for WordPress 2.6 if you want to take a look. 🙂 And you can see my login page live here.
As for my previous problem WP Email Registration Not Sent, I finally have overcome it through the help of Callum Macdonald’s plugin WP-mail-SMTP. It really saved my time as I don’t have to manually send the emails to new members in my hometown’s online community website.

i love the theme viewer also. it’s cool because hindi affected ang users kahit nagtetesting ka unlike when you have to change themes the conventional way na minsan nage-error ang acces ng users sa site mo.

Korek! friend, ang dami kong tinetesting na themes sa offline blog ko, kaya nagustuhan ko tong theme viewer dahil hindi ko na kailangang mag change ng theme tapos view site. Sa bagong feature na to, isang click na lang, activate kung nagustuhan mo yung theme tapos cancel na lang kung ayaw, haha!

Tapos na pala ang beta ng 2.6. Ang bilis naman. Pero di pa ako makapagdecide kung mag-uupgrade dahil ka-uupgrade ko lang sa 2.5 🙁
