The Name Game

Come on everybody!
I say now let’s play a game
I betcha I can make a rhyme out of anybody’s name
The first letter of the name, I treat it like it wasn’t there
But a B or an F or an M will appear
And then I say bo add a B then I say the name and Bonana fanna and a fo
And then I say the name again with an F very plain
and a fee fy and a mo…
and wait, before I get carried away with this song The Name Game, this week’s Mommy Moments theme is about Name Game. And in case you haven’t noticed, I’m posting this earlier than ‘my usual schedule’.

My baby’s name is Sean Francis Keith. Wanna know the history behind his name?

I have picked the name Sean long before I met my husband. When I was in college I’m a big fan of Alaska Milkmen and Sean Chambers is one of my favorite imports. I so like his name that I thought if ever I would have a baby boy I would name it Sean. Not only that, Sean Connery was also my top favorite actor back then.

It was only when I was expecting that I learned the meaning of  Sean. He is surely a gift from God.

Sean comes from the Irish origin. In Irish The meaning of the name Sean is: Irish variant of John: God is gracious; gift from God.

Sean’s second name is Francis, his father’s name which means a free man.

Keith is highly influenced by R’n’B singer Keith Martin. The name means “woodland, forest”.

How about you, what’s the story behind your baby’s name?

To know more about other stories you may read it here.

  1. That was quite interesting how you chose your son’s name, and it’s very seldom that I see a three-part first name that is not hard to remember because they’re all one-syllable words. I like how it sounds, too, cool and pleasing to the ears. I hope you can drop by my site, too, for my Mommy Moments entry. Can we also exchange links? Thanks!

  2. Ah! Kaya pala yan ang name ng baby mo. Now I understand. Hehe. I think Sean and Francis are nice names. Pang-pogi talaga ang dating di ba? Hehe.

My son’s full name naman is Greg Laurence. Greg is the name of my late father-in-law, while Laurence just came out of nowhere. LOL. Nag-isip lang kami ng magandang i-partner sa Greg. Hihihi. have a blessed day!

  3. Sean sounds so handsome and beverly hills type of guy to me… great choice for a name momi and looking at that picture, He really is a Sean.
