Buhay ko’y Ikaw Lamang by Tricia Amper Jimenez

This is one of my favorite songs in Tricia Amper Jimenez‘ Close to you CD.

I remembered I sung this song when I visited my relatives in Mindoro… that was mid-90’s…payat pa yata ako noon. 😀 Some of my cousin’s friends went to their house and asked me if they could go back later at night para mang harana. I said sure why not! It would be a nice experience, I guess. Take note, nang harana sila to befriend me, hindi para manligaw…haha! Anyway, later that night pumunta na nga sila sa bahay, (there were 4 of them if I remember it right) with matching gitara pa talaga… and their voice were all nice, they sing well. Maybe that’s the reason why they have the guts na mang harana. 😀

They asked me if I could sing for them and I said, huwhaat? I was hesitant at first pero dahil kinukulit nila ako pati ng mga pinsan ko eh di sige, kanta! I don’t know what to sing then, but since Buhay ko’y ikaw lamang ang naisip ko, eh yun na ang kinanta ko. Mukhang okay naman, they seemed to like the song (yung kanta lang, hehe) and even asked for the lyrics, kasi in fairness maganda naman talaga ang message ng kanta diba? 🙂

OMG! I hardly remember the name Tricia Amper, hindi ko na maalala huling song nya na narinig ko nuong active pa ako sa church (unfortunately I’m not anymore 🙁 ) Salamat for sharing this inspiring song..I wish I can hear it.

I don’t know the song but I definitely heart the lyrics. I love listening to worship songs. =)

@Thess, I do want to upload the song so everyone can hear it, but unfortunately it’s in a CDA. I still have to convert it to MP3. LIke ko yung voice ni Tricia Amper. She’s also the voice behind “I can feel it” jingle in the Palmolive Soap commercial ni Alice Dixson, and “Milo Everyday” jingle. 🙂
