Close to You

Finally, I was able to see Tricia Amper-Jimenez‘ Close to You CD at the record store so I bought it! I was looking for a wedding march album – for my sister’s friend – when I saw the CD. I was really surprised to see this inspirational album again after more than a decade.

I first heard Tricia’s album almost 15 years ago. My cousin always play it in her tape recorder, kaya na memorize ko na yung ibang lyrics.

Some of my favorite tracks in this album are “Buhay Ko’y Ikaw Lamang“, “Panalangin ko“, “Ang Tanging Pag-asa” and Close to You.

While listening to the songs, I was glad that I still memorize some of the lyrics. I have to admit, that listening to these songs for the first time after 15 years, I cried silently. I really missed hearing these songs.

“Panalangin ko sa Diyos, buhay ko ay pagpalain at maging matibay kahit na anong bigat ng suliranin ko sa bawat araw, sana’y naroon Ikaw”.

“Bakit kung kailan ang puso ay nasasaktan doon lamang Kita tinatawagan? Ngunit kung ang buhay ay payapa’t kay sigla para bang nalilimutan Ka?”

I used to Google on the lyrics of these songs but found none. Hopefully I can post the complete lyrics in the next few days.
