You’re the one I have long been waiting
You gave my life a whole new meaning,
You’re a blessing, a gift from above,
God entrusted you to me to care for and to love.
March 27 when you came into this world
You’re my everything more precious than gold,
You’re such a big baby, and so I was told,
Can’t wait to kiss you, to hug and to hold.
The day after, I went to the nursery
So excited to hug and kiss you finally,
The labor pains I went through the other day,
Seeing you my baby took the pain away.
In every burp and gurgle I will be here for you
When you wiggle and snuggle, when you toddle and coo,
I will respond in your every wants and cries,
And will soothe you with my lullabies.
I love staring at your lovely, innocent face
As I keep you warm in my tender loving embrace,
You’re a perfect proof of God’s never ending grace,
Because of you, the world for me became a better place.
