I have long wanted to create my own Friendster layout, and after few hours of searching on how I could do it, I finally decided to use Markyctrigger’s Overlay Generator.
I already created the design, a WP theme I created for a friend that I turned into Friendster layout sana. What’s annoying is that when I was about to add the Friendster Overlay Generator Apps it says:
The app could not be updated. Please try again later.
Page being viewed: /widget_add.php
And now it says “Error. App. not found”. Huwaat? I just spent few hours editing the Friendster menu and navigation links and adding the Friendster script modules then all my efforts will be futile naman pala!
Also <embed> and <object> is no longer working. 
January 30 Update: Well, I don’t have to wait that long naman pala. Friendster Overlay Apps is now working. You just have to add http://widgets.friendster.com/og.
I already tried it and it works, except that I have to tweak my css code, ang lalaki ng fonts at pictures haha!
Hmmm, confusing. It works but after a while it says “Error. App. not found” again, shocks!.

Mahina talaga lahat sa Friendster, kahit anong gawin ko. Kahit nga lang sa pag-create ng sariling css style eh ang tagal umepek ng na-create ko. Try and try again lang gawin mo’t baka gumana din.

Mas nakakainis kasi kung kelan i-add ko na yung apps saka pa sya hindi na gumagana or tinanggal na. Sana nung isang araw pa nawala yun para di ko naisipang gawan ng layout na hindi ko rin pala magagamit, haha.
At dahil hindi na nga gumagana yung overlay yung css na lang inedit ko, ginawa ko na lang same color nitong site. Kaso, malabo pa rin yung css nila, di gumagana yung ibang tags.

minsan u have to flush your dns or refresh it to see the outcome of ur css at once hehe

Well, for some security reasons, friendster frequently update. hehe kawawa ka naman. Yan ang nakakainis sa friendster.. They’ve enabled the functionality of designing a theme but it does not work for so long.. You have to make another one after each and evry time haha

Naiintindihan ko rin naman sila kasi marami talaga uma-attack sa kanila, ang dami kayang nakakapasok na spammer at virus sa kanila haha. Ang nakakainis kasi kung kailan gagamitin ko na saka nawala, hindi man lang ako nabigyan ng chance na magamit yun hehe. Well, better luck next time.

aww.. akala ko aq lang may problem dun sa overlay generator.. kung kelan inayos ko na ung layout ko dun tapos dun pa ayaw gana nung application.. im friggin disappointed talaga.. sinayang ko panaman time ko para fix ung layout T_T

Haha, parehas tayo, yun din nga kinaiinis ko, nagsayang ako ng oras sa pag-ayos ng layout tapos hindi ko pala magagamit.

hay naku amor yang friendster may topak nga talaga recently…yung webpage skin ko nga hindi ma-activate…kaya hindi na nga rin ako masyadong nagpupunta run…i just keep my friendster because of my old friends.

Hi Kristine, naghihigpit yata ang FS lately sa mga apps kaya deactivated yung iba. Nakaka frustrate nga pag ganun. Kaya nga ako itong Overlay lang gamit kong apps.

Hi Argie, wala akong alam na web builder para sa friendster overlay. Mine was done using Adobe Photoshop land the codes were coded in HTML/PHP editor lang. But I couldn’t have done it without the help of Marky’s Apps.

hi Lhen, sorry hindi ko alam yung apps na yan. Baka naman nagloloko lang ang FS, or naghihigpit sila sa mga apps. Noong first time ko kasing ginamit yung Overlay hindi rin nagwork, pero ngayon okay na ulit. Thanks for visiting.

mga dudz kng gus2 nyong gumamit ng generator ng makyctrigger dpat update kau lgi sa mga bagong instruction nila… lalo na ngaung my lock code na cla which is subjected to change…
so dpat always kau mg visit sa page ng markyctrigger…

Thanks for your info Monstermakoy. The apps I’m using which I got from markyctrigger is working fine naman na at hindi pa ulit ako nagkakaproblema. I wanted to add who’s viewed me but I can’t make it work haha.

hindi naman gumagana, denelet ko nalang ang family stick kc wala na eh! may new instruction but hirap gawin..hindi tulad lately users friendly ngayon ang daming add-ons….pero naintidihan ko naman ang taga markyctrigger…always updating the codes for safety reasons…

OO nga hindi sya ulit nagwowork. Nitry ko yung latest na family stick but it still doesn’t work o baka di ko lang magets. So wait na lang ako for further instructions.
