False Hopes

False Hopes

by Amor

I’m confused on the way you treat me
We’re only friends but you treat me differently,
Sometimes I think are you admiring me secretly?
Or you’re just being extra friendly.

Our friends say your actions speak louder than your words
I feel delighted, but I’ll get hurt if I’ll know it’s all false,
I’ll be disappointed and there’ll be so much to cope
So I told myself not to have many false hopes.

And whatever it is that you are feeling for me
Why don’t you try to tell me directly?
Don’t confuse me with what I see
Start to speak out what you feel for me.
