After Jung Da Bin, another Korean Star committed suicide.
A Rosy Life Star Choi Jin-sil, 40, one of South Korea’s most popular actresses was found dead at her home in Seoul, South Korea. Choi’s mother found the actress, hanging by an elastic bandage in a shower stall. Chief Investigator believed she committed suicide.
In Choi’s text message to her makeup artist she said “My dear, I hope you take care of my children if something happens to me.”

Choi Jin-sil (December 24, 1968 – October 2, 2008) was a South Korean actress and model. She was considered one of the best actresses in South Korea, nicknamed “The Nation’s Actress“.[1] On October 2, 2008, Choi was found dead at her home, and the police chief stated that it was “obviously suicide”.[1] It has been speculated that negative comments by Korean netizens[2] and rumours regarding her lending money to Ahn Jae-hwan[1] contributed to Choi’s depressed state.
Choi had also been depressed since her 2004 divorce to baseball player Jo Seong-min and worried about how to care for her two young children.
A Rosy Life, a leading drama series in South Korea was shown in the Philippines on October 2006 over GMA7. This is the story of a housewife named Betsy (Choi Jin-sil) who was left by her husband to be with another woman. Later, when she is diagnosed with stomach cancer, her family finally realizes what she means to them. The series ended when Betsy and her husband went to a honeymoon trip where she eventually dies. Such a tearjerker!

You’re right life is still beautiful! As for me, even if I’m in the lowest point in my life I will never consider suicide, kasi God will not give us something we can’t handle. Some difficulties in life are given to us so that we can be stronger.

Nagulat ako’t bakit nakarating sa blog mo ang Korean actress. Kawawa naman, mas lalo tuloy siyang sumikat dahil napag-usapan yung pag-suicide niya.

Pangalawang post ko na yan about Korean actress, yun nga lang puro nag suicide. Pinanood ko kasi yung mga shows nila na ipinalabas sa GMA7. Yung series ni ChoiJinsil, heavy drama kaya naki-iyak din ang lola mo, haha.

Am not familiar with Choi, but she’s too young and pretty to die. Di man lang kami nag pang abot hehe. I guess Korea is one of the highest number of suicides in the world. Madami din sa Japan. Kakatakot.

OO nga, at karamihan sa kanila nag su-suicide dahil sa depression, madali silang magpatalo sa emosyon. Hindi ba kasama ang Pinas dyan? Dami ko rin kasing nababasa sa dyaryo eh.

BTW, yeah Botox can eliminate fine lines under the eyes. I’ll undergo another session dun naman sa gilid ng eyes. Hahaha…. vain talaga noh?

Tingin ko dito kaya nagpakamatay si Choi kasi di na nya nakayanan ang mga pangyayari at maaaring wala siyang malapitang tao/mahal sa buhay na iintindi sa problema nya kung meron mang makikinig kokontrahin lang yung mga sinasabi nya or mali ang payo sa kanya. Tapos sikat na model at actress pa siya (double standard) kaya talagang nakaka-pressure at maaari niyang isipin na wala siyang kwentang tao dahil sikat na actress nga siya pero di naman nya magawang ayusin ang issue na hinaharap nya so hayun no other option kundi mag-suicide.
Di kagaya nating mga pinoy kahit may problema pinipilit pa ring maging masaya at marami tayong paraan para gawin yun tska marami tayong malalapitang tao kapag may problema at may matinding pananampalataya kay Lord.
Dapat talaga na intindihin natin ang mga taong kagaya ni Choi at huwag ipagbale wala ang mga sinasabi nila. Ang kailangan nila ay ang taong handang makinig sa kanilang problema.

Hi Angelina. Naku bothered naman ako sa comment mo. Wag ganun, life is precious. Lahat naman tayo may problema eh, mas mabigat pa nga ang problema ng iba. But it doesn’t mean dapat na tayong sumuko. Be strong Angelina. Everything happens for a reason. We may not understand it but trust that God is still in control. He won’t allow you to be tested beyond your capability to remain firm. Sabi nga sa nabasa kong quote – "Sometimes GOD pushes us to our LIMITS…HE tests us beyond our ENDURANCE, because He has greater FAITH in us than we have in ourselves!"
